Throughout the year, Musgrove Willows run a range of willow weaving courses. These courses take place at our centre in Westonzoyland, Somerset.
Willow craft courses start at just £40 for a half day course. The price includes all materials, a delicious lunch and refreshments. Attendees come away with something beautiful, strong, environmentally-friendly and above all, very personal.
Our Willow Weaving Courses include:
- Garden structures
- Hurdle making
- Traditional baskets (in all shapes and sizes)
- Animal or bird sculptures
- Living willow structures (seasonal)
- Christmas gifts/items & lanterns
All our course instructors are highly experienced willow weavers. If you have any questions or need any guidance, please do not hesitate to ask them.
Willow weaving courses – Itinerary
9.30 – 9.45am
Enjoy tea or coffee and meet with the class instructor and other course attendees. This gives you the opportunity to discuss any ideas.
10am – 4pm
Let the willow weaving begin! Times are flexible. Course attendees are sure to go home with a finished piece.
Refreshments & Lunch
Refreshments are available throughout the day. A delicious home-made lunch is also provided. (Please advise us of any special dietary requirements, allergies or disabilities when booking.)
Some of our courses are held outdoors and others in work sheds. Depending on the course, you may be using steamed or wet willow rods. Please wear appropriate clothing.
If the course you wish to book is full, please let us know. We will endeavour to run another course if we can.
Get a group of family and friends together and take a course together. Groups of 6 and above can be accommodated.
6 or more students are needed to make a course viable, so we reserve the right to cancel or change the course date if necessary. Refunds or credit notes will be given if alternative dates are unsuitable.
